Labor Day Weekend

on the Monterey Peninsula

Enjoy the outdoor heated pool, or go

hiking, biking, and play volleyball. There

is also golf, tennis, and kayaking nearby.  You can go sightseeing in Monterey, go shopping in Carmel, and explore the

17 Mile Drive. Or, spend a day at Big Sur.  There is much to do.

 

Invite your friends. We have reservations for up to 40 people in accommodations of 2, 3, or 4 persons. And, the meals

are included!

Yosemite Wrap up

Yosemite Valley over the July 4th weekend turned out to be what most expected: majestic; special; perfect weather; good food; good friends; good hikes; bike riding; rafting; too many people; overcrowded bathrooms; and a lack of hot water. Did it deter anyone? It didn't seem so. With almost 50 San Francisco SkiClub members on this trip and everyone pitching in to lead events; scout sites for "late nite music spots", and cook the food at the joint BBQ with BAC (thank you Steve), we had a weekend to remember.

For those of you who have not yet made the 4th of July weekend in Yosemite----start planning for next year. Once again, it was a time to remember.


Here are a few of the comments we received some of the participants:

The highlight for us was rafting with club members on Saturday. Now, this isn't exactly white water, but it was a very hot day, and being on the river floating along was just the ticket. Laughter, stories, camaraderie - that's what we were hoping to find in Yosemite. We stretched what is supposed to be a two hour "cruise" as long as we could to maximize the fun. Were we actually paddling upstream? Well, yes, a couple of times, but on purpose.
