E-Mail List Info

OK, here's the deal. We have two e-mail lists, but you have to a current member to be on either one of them. One is the official e-mail list and one is the unofficial list, and they are used for different things. Don't even ask to be added to either list unless you are a current member (meaning you've submitted your application, paid your membership dues, and been accepted as a member).

The Official E-Mail List

	This is used for board members (and the Webmasters) to send club announcements to the members. Other club members cannot send e-mail to this list.
	This is a list of all members except for those who specifically ask to be removed from it. In other words, it's an "opt-out" list.
	To subscribe, send e-mail to sfskiclub_members-subscribe@yahoogroups.com.
	If you're a member and want to remove yourself from this list, send e-mail to sfskiclub_members-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com. NOTE: If the list has more than one e-mail address for you, you will need to unsubscribe each address or you will continue to receive e-mails. Also, if you have an old address that forwards to your current one, you'll need to remove the old one. (We have no way of knowing if you are forwarding e-mail from one address to another.)
	If and only if you're a board member, you can send e-mail to everyone on this list by simply addressing your e-mail to sfskiclub_members@yahoogroups.com. If you have any trouble with this, contact the Webmaster (sorry, position currently vacant).
	With only a few exception, this is the list of all member e-mail addresses. If you want to send an official broadcast e-mail to club members, send it to Risa (Sfrisa@aol.com) for approval.

We will not give your e-mail address to anyone else!
You can remove your name from the list whenever you like!

The Cool Unofficial E-Mail List

A way for members to e-mail others directly.
Get in with the "In" crowd!

Some members wanted a way to e-mail others regarding things like mid-week skiing, ride-sharing, impromptu drinks after work, etc. As a result, we now have this very cool "unofficial" e-mail list.

This list is purely voluntary: you have to sign up to get on it, and you can unsubscribe yourself whenever you want. In other words, it's an "opt-in" list.

To join the e-mail list -- assuming you are already a member -- send e-mail to sfskiclubunofficial-subscribe@yahoogroups.com or enter your e-mail address below and click the "Yahoo Groups Join Now" button:

To send e-mail to everyone on this list (after you've been accepted to join), just send your e-mail to the following address: sfskiclubunofficial@yahoogroups.com. It will automatically be forwarded to everyone on the list.

To remove yourself from this list, send an e-mail to: sfskiclubunofficial-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com.
