Ski Club Board Positions -- Brief Version President:
Presides at all meetings & has general supervision and direction over the
affairs of the Club
Vice President:
Supports the president and acts on his/her behalf as needed
Secretary:
Keeps minutes of all Board meetings, carries out all official correspondence of
the Club and is responsible for public relations Director of Membership:
Reviews/processes new applications, maintains the membership roster, organizes
the Open House and other new member welcome events
Director
of Finance: Responsible for the fiscal well being of the club.
Establishes and maintains budgets; tracks all spending and pays all bills
Director
of Activities: Organizes and/or coordinates all the Club's social
functions
Director
of
Trips and Cabins:
Organizes the winter ski cabin, with the help of weekend trip leaders;
coordinates day, weekend or week-long trips
Director
of Administration: Assists other Board members on a project basis;
responsible for Board elections, maintains Club equipment Singles
League Representative: Represents the club at the monthly Single League
meeting, alerts members to league events and sells tickets for them; supports
the annual Snowball fundraising event
Bay
Area Council of Ski Clubs Rep: Represents the club at the
monthly BAC meeting, alerts members to BAC events, responsible for discount lift
ticket program Race
Director: Organizes, promotes (and coaches, when possible!)
the San Francisco Ski Club Race Team. Coordinates with other league directors to
keep race records, set schedules; award winners. Assists in league's Racy
Affair.
